Monkeys and Rainy Days

I was woken up this morning by monkeys battling outside my window. Seriously, how often do you hear that? Anyways, I ran outside to check them out, and attempt to get a good picture. I didn't...but I will share the picture that I did get, anyways

I told you it was a bad picture! Regardless, that's a monkey, in my backyard!

Jenna and I were planning on going to the beach after monkey-palooza ended, but it started pouring. Like, seriously pouring. Monsoon in the jungle kind of pouring. So, I read some Chelsea Handler (don't judge me) and pored over pinterest. FOR.HOURS. I did find some cool projects for the house, and I'm considering doing a cool stencil thing in the extra bedroom (it's tiny and needs some extra love)Check out the stencil here. This website has a lot of really awesome stencils, it totally overwhelms me. I also think I'm going to try out this T-Shirt Rag Rug Tutorial I found (also through pinterest) when I get home, as long as the hardwood floor refinishing process gets underway. It's hard to think about all the work my house needs when I'm so far away from it!! Well, hope your day has been as wonderful (and lazy) as mine!

newbie

Let me start by saying that I am totally new to blogging. I most certainly never thought that I would actually sit down and start writing about myself, for all the world to see. For one, I never thought that I would actually have anything interesting to share. But then, my husband and I bought a house. A house that requires A LOT of work. Therefore, I have discovered a crafty side in me that I never knew existed. Well, that's not entirely true, I've been knitting for 3 years, and started sewing earlier this year. But, I never new the home improvement/furniture restoring side of me exsisted. So, I thought that I would start sharing my projects/walls being torn down in my home/tile work/complete chaos that is my life at this present moment. As well as my sewing and knitting projects. Secondly, I never thought that I would find the time to start writing! But, I got the opportunity to move to Costa Rica this winter, and boom! Everything just fell into place, and I knew that I should start writing. But where to start? Ah! So I guess I'll just share some info about myself. I'm Chelsea. I just got married 6 months ago and, as I previously stated, we just bought a house!

It's a small, 3 bedroom, one bath house that we love! We've torn out the carpet-which I feel is worthy of it's own blog post. Seriously, that stuff was insane. And while we're traveling this winter, and friend is doing the tilework in our shower (before pictures to come on that soon). Basically, we're super blessed to have found the perfect house for us. And, we are both enjoying making it our own.

I also work as a zipline guide-pretty much the most amazing job ever. I get to meet new people everyday, and swing through the trees in the process.  I'm a lucky girl :)

So, hopefully, in the next few months, I'll start sharing lots of things! Stay tuned.
